As you may be aware, EDF Energy are currently working on resurfacing The Drove, which started on Monday 22nd May and is expected to last eight nights. Residents along from Bristol Road and Kimberley Terrace have been affected this week as inadequate signage resulted in masses of cars coming along the street, unaware of where the closure started, and blocking houses.
EDF have acknowledged this and stated they would place additional ‘Access Only’ signs, and ensure drivers are aware of the diversion to Wylds Road. Their project manager, Lucy Holt, was on the scene on Monday and was informing residents that drivers were ignoring the signs, which is why more will be put out to make the diversion clear. Overall, EDF Energy believe the junction will be fully operational by the end of June.
