Eastover is included in Sedgemoor District Council’s Celebration Mile project – a major initiative focused on a facelift of the town centre.
The regeneration of the railway station is due to start work in October! This will include updating the historic station building, enhancing existing parking facilities and establishing bus and taxi links. There will also be improved catering facilities. Completion is expected towards the end of next summer.

Plans for a new 100 room hotel on Eastover have also been given the green light, with the work due to commence in mid – September. There will be a mixture of parking spaces on site and in a rooftop car park just across the road. Completion will be late next year.
